The cavaliers are a profession of trained warriors that can be found on Empire domain. They follow the ideals and general concept of medieval chivalry, and are organized into various orders of knights. They specialize in hand-to-hand combat using swords, maces, axes, and shields and are known for wearing antiquated, but intricate, armor made of steel and leather.

The following is an excerpt from one of the oldest manuscripts to be held in the vaults of the Central Library. The fading pages of this unnamed document have been digitally enhanced and filtered to enable successful transmission.

I, Chief Scribe to His Majesty, do hereby declare this to be a true record of the meeting held this day of the Cavalier knights.
It was agreed that Cavaliers would help their fellows whenever ting weapon he can chop, attempting to behead his evil foe; with a thrusting weapon he can skewer his opponent clean through; with a cutting weapon, he can swing viciously; and with a blunt weapon he can cause a dull thud to resound against his victim's body.
Furthermore, it is known that Cavaliers can unarm their opponents and cause their weapons to hit multiple foes in one swipe. With the aid of a loyal hawke, the enemy can be located, before their evil corpses are purified.
It was justly decided by a fair vote that three guilds would henceforth be constituted to further the advancement of all the Cavaliers that serve the Kingdom. These guilds will uphold the true laws of the Kingdom and protect the good citizens to the utmost of their ability.
The Knights of the Lance will follow the causes of Honor, Nobility and Courage. These Knights are experts of thrusting weapons and can skewer their opponents more skillfully than others.
The Knights of the Rose will be pure and holy. Blunt weapons will be as the wrath of God himself in their hands.
The Knights of the Sword shall dedicate themselves to fighting evil and will train exhaustively in the use of only swords. They shall hone their use of such weapons so that with but one chop a foe may be felled.
May the cause of the Cavaliers be true and fair throughout the ages, no matter what fate may befall the world around them.'
