A client is a software program used to make use of telnet to connect to StarMUD. There are numerous clients available, some are free, some are not. There are some clients which are developed specifically for connecting to MUDs, while others are intended for general terminal emulation. The MUD specific clients often have features such as built in aliases, triggers, timers and other means of scripting.
