Cybermercs

The text below is a transcription of a statement given to the officer responsible for the arrest of Jack 'Fingers' McAree.

'I was just minding my own business like, relieving some folks of their credits in the Shopping Mall on Milliways. I was just gonna get me some eats with my hard-earned cash when this Cybermerc appears out of nowhere--a psihunt I think they call it. Anyway, I just about had time to notice the red light that was glowing in his cybernetic eye when I felt this almighty blow smash into my ribs. This guy seemed to be in some sort of frenzy, he was hitting me so damned hard. I tried to defend myself, I mean, I wasn't doing no one no harm. I managed to get to my feet, only to feel this huge shock of electricity flow through my body. I recovered again, and was about to launch my counter-attack, when he terrorized me, forcing me to flee to the next shop.

I could sense some kind of tracking device being used on me, and there he was again in an instant. I was glad when you guys showed up, cos he could have done me some serious damage.

I was talking to some fellow cons in the cells. Seems there are three types of Cybermerc. There are Cyborgs, who have more implants than natural tissues--they never lose endurance and can smash you like your head was an egg shell. Luckily, they can't use that electro attack. Then there are Trackers. They're too wimpy to be able to terrorize people, but they have this fearsome ability to track you wherever you go. You just can't shake 'em off. But perhaps the most feared are the infamous Justifiers, which are known to show no mercy, eliminating non-human whenever they get the chance.

Just ice me up for a few years. Maybe when I get out they'll have found a way for us cons to kick Cybermerc ass. I hope.'
