Empire

Empire is a technologically backwards planet, entrenched in an era very similar to that of medieval Earth. The domain was first created by Pyrosius and is currently lorded by Nightranger.

Shortly after the Big Oops(tm) a group of people tired of the poorly re-established system of government on Earth set out to find a new planet they could call their own. They settled on a very much Earth-like planet which they called Empire. It is positioned at the outer reaches of its planetary system and at the time, was not easy for them to reach. Modern transportation systems have improved access to Empire, though the people of the system are generally content to lead their own ways of life. The planet was already home to several species of semi-aquatic humanoids that the humans refer to as the merfolk and the dimer. Once arriving, the humans quickly realized that they did not have enough supplies to sustain themselves for the long haul so set out dismantling every bit of technology they had to survive off the land. This technological de-evolution lead to the people resorting to building structures of stone and wood and developing armor and weapons from metal alloys.

Empire is a planet of great contrast. It has volcanic islands, deep caves, mountainous regions, forested regions, open pastures, deserts, and large panses of water. It has many natural resources, a huge biodiversity, and a fairly large population of humanoids that live in several small communities scattered across the planet.

The people of Empire feel quite strongly about their ways, they know of the rest of the universe and barely tolerate the existence of technology on their planet, but they know they can't very well fight back, and trade is very good for everyone involved. They still reject technological advance, preferring the simplistic lifestyle they have come to know.

Empire is said to be the home of the famed cavalier's profession.
