Ancient Combat Skills Alive And Kicking On Bukovina
Despite all the conveniences of life that centuries of scientific and technological advancement have brought us, there are those who still choose to live a lifestyle that most thought had been buried and forgotten long ago. The underdeveloped planet of Bukovina is home to a secretive group of devotees of the art of unarmed mortal combat - the Martialists.
These fighters use their own fists as lethal weapons, yet try to follow a serene and tranquil lifestyle whenever possible. They are able to create an aura of peace around them to help them meditate; however, it is their abilities of unarmed combat that set them apart from most normal people.
A Martialist can create a combination attack from any number of options, including spinning and sweeping moves. They can initiate combat with a deadly dropkick and even throw their opponent great distances. Perhaps their most fearsome skill is the ability to shatter a piece of armour with a single blow.
To defend themselves, Martialists may attempt to disarm their opponents, as long as they are not armed themselves. In desperate circumstances, they are able to cause an aura of peace and tranquility to fall over their opponents.
Recent developments have brought this group to the galaxy's attention. Ancient texts, only recently discovered, have uncovered a wealth of knowledge about the various sects that were in evidence hundreds of years ago. This has allowed the Martialists to develop particular skills even further. These different groups are known as Linkuei, Samurai, Shaolin and Yokozuna.
Little more is known about this group, other than the sketchy details I am able to provide... but perhaps that is what they want.
