Mudlib

Mudlib is the software codebase that a MUD runs on. The framework for everything, including the combat system, all objects including rooms, weapons, armor, npcs, and monsters, as well as the base commands for interacting with the MUD and all security and permissions.

StarMUD's mudlib is an entirely custom codebase that has been named Starlib. It has no offical version number, but it has undergone at least four major revisions over the years, as well as thousands of minor alterations. We always classify it as being in 'beta' because it is always changing and being edited, almost on a daily basis. We have no intention of ever releasing it to the public domain.
