The advances made in recent decades in the medicinal arts are evident in the wonders that science can now achieve. The need for incisive surgery has all but been eliminated. From our brand new headquarters, set on the Raphael orbital station orbiting high above the Earth, a dedicated group of expert scientists produce cures for every known disease.
Those that follow the path of science can learn the molecular structure of a number of different substances and research their independent production. These drugs can then be made and taken personally or injected into a patient. Any scientist has the ability to heal themselves and all have practically immediate access to the facilities on the orbital if required.
In my experience, there are two different types of scientist. The Paramedic has dedicated his or her life to the eradication of disease from the galaxy. Indeed, a Paramedic can attempt to cure anyone of any disease and, in emergencies, heal others by performing surgery upon them. Modern technology allows Paramedics to attempt to revive deceased individuals - this can be rewarding for both parties! If needs be, the defibrillator can be used to ward off aggressors, as well as to save lives.
The other, wretched group are the Euthanatos. These so-called 'mercy killers' choose to dissect corpses and even living beings to further their own twisted research. They have learned the art of raising the dead to do their own evil doing and can hide in the darkness of the shadows to make good their escape when required. Euthanatos also have access to a savage array of vicious tools of depraved violence, too unspeakable to review here in detail.
What is important to remember, is that whether you choose the way of the Paramedic or the Euthanatos, you must ensure that the cause of science is always uppermost in your minds at all times.
