Shaolin

Shaolin is a subprofession of the martialists profession.

Description

The Shaolin monks are an ancient group of devout worshipers who have foresworn materialistic ways and devoted their lives to upholding good and defending the poor and the downtrodden.

They are experts at unarmed combat, disarming their opponents and generally defending themselves. Due to the years they spend praying and meditating, they are more in touch with their chi than other martialists, usually have more psi, and find it easier to calm their opponents.

In parallel with their simple lifestyles, Shaolin prefer fighting without weapons or armor. Shaolin always carry a staff with them, and are quite capable of using it in self-defense. Due to their ardent training, Shaolin always manage to avoid taking critical hits.

Shaolin are generous to a fault, and have been known to spontaneously donate their excess cash to the poor and needy.
